675 or at least 880 ? The CNN has done it yet again

I noticed that the deaths figures announced by Senioura (The Lebanese prime minister) have always exceeded the CNN numbers. Today Friday august 5, while lebanese websites and the AFP (Agence France Presse) said that the lebanese government have estimated the death toll to be well above 900, with a minimum of 880. So how come the CNN is quoting the same government for 675 deaths so far ?
Or is there an exchange rate ?
